As time went on, I learned more about how DHS deals with vulnerable people as a group… The more I learned, the more my focus expanded to encompass the experience of all vulnerable and at-risk people who engage with Centrelink.
Thank you. Services Australia fabricated a Job Capacity Assessment contents to cover the abuse of Targeted Compliance Framework by a DES Job Provider. I have audio of this Assessment Interview and the department refuse to accept it. What is said in the interview is completely different than what is in the Job Capacity Assessment report. In my interview I spoke about Abuse of TCF by the DES provider. That is all I spoke about. Thank you to all those that fight these awful people.
I'll try and keep this brief! Having dealt with Centrelink, first via Jobseeker at age 60 until I was 66.5 and then aged pension the system is set up weighed heavily in their favour. Balancing ill health and having to find work, having benefits stopped for their errors, the list goes on, they very nearly beat me.
I still get an anxiety attack when I see the dreaded email notifying me of a message. As I have carefully documented all my unhappy dealings with them it runs into several pages. To sum up 'it's a feature not a bug' !
I watched most of the Robodebt Royal Commission and I wasn't surprised at the cruel failings revealed. Absolutely disgusted no one has yet been held accountable. The NACC is a farce that would make an entertaining documentary.
The cruelty built into this system compared to the CES is deliberate in my view and personal experience. How many more years will people be made to suffer at a time when they are at their most vulnerable.
My GP at the time in 2012 filled the full medical report for DSP gave me it and the other part of the application form, I got 16 points on review. That has given me the pharmaceutical supplement. A capacity assessment sometime later gave me a zero capacity so the next time at Centrelink a staff member gave me the application form, as it progressed to the telephone interview some halfwit started the conversation with I can now change your zero capacity assessment. At the time the DSP partnered rate was $50 per fortnight higher than unemployment benefits, and paying $325/fortnight from a $410/ fortnight for my home mortgage was difficult yet I was too sick to do anything as it was, lucky my wifes payment paid for food, car rego and council rates. Then came the Remote Jobs and Communities Programme in 2015 where local people had to refuse the short term work they traditionally did as they could not be in two places at 9am Monday to Friday. I really believe they employ halfwits at Services Australia. As a metal worker I have always had responsibility for myself and sometimes only a trades assistant. My working life in Australia was originally to pay tax for 50 years then it got extended to 52 years. So I research job adverts knowing I cannot pass the pre-employment medical. 4 months left to the age pension switches automatically.
a department internal briefing note admits to overcharging clients over many years. they have caused at least one client to become destitute, repeatedly denying their "error", misinforming ministers etc. I don't know whether they have repaid the clients.
